Tiny Treasures

Corporate Gift

This project involved designing a corporate gift for a real company. The goal was to create a thoughtful and memorable gift that reflects the company’s brand and values. While the project was done for educational purposes and as a creative exercise, it resulted in the production of an actual gift that could be considered for use by the company. The project allowed for me to apply practical application of design skills, learn a new software, and develop my physical production skills.

    Project Overview

    Campaign Landscape

    Project type: Corporate Gift

    Brand: Jonathan Adler

    Target Audience: Internal employees

    The Idea

Employees can place the fabric swatches and furniture models on their desk and use as a model when trying to design something (use it as Inso to feel out the funqshwei of a room and see how you can layout clients room). The fabric swatches can help to decide the furniture fabrics that would look well together in the same room.

    The Inspiration

    My Muse

All of the inspiration for my Jonathan Adler employee corporate gifts are from Jonathan Adler’s own product line.

    Building the Vision

    3d model

The following image is a screenshot taken during my online design and development of the 3D furniture miniature models. I designed them on a software called “Tinkercad,” an online 3D modeling program.

    Development

    The Gift Box

The gift box I made out of a plain black box. I added multiple layers of dark pink and light pink vinyl that I cut and arranged into the design covering the sides of the box. The top of the box was started by adding an eye cut out of vinyl and then I placed the sequences one by one. The entire top is covered in multiple sizes of jewels and sequence.

    3D Printed Model Furniture

I designed the 3D miniature furniture models on Tinkercad  using my inspiration photos. Once I finished creating the furniture models I started printing them out using the 3D printer found in my university art room. Some difficulties arrived when I was taking off the stabilizers from some of the furniture because the models were so small. I had to be careful not to break the actual furniture when removing the stabilizers.

    Fabric Swatches

I went to a fabric store to choose several different materials for the fabric swatch cards. I chose a mixture of different colors, textures, and patterns. I then glued each fabric onto a cut piece of poster board. Along with the fabric samples, I took 2 miniature notepads and added a plain fabric to the front and used some of the leftover jewels I had from the top of the box, to create a small design on the front of the pads.
